A Hot Excerpt Involving Hot Aliens

I get the distinct pleasure of bringing you an extended excerpt from Jessica E. Subject's upcoming erotic sci-fi novel! First, here is a bit about it:

Alien Adoration
Alien Next Door book 1
By Jessica E. Subject
Erotic Sci-Fi Romance
ISBN: 978-0991932009

Erotic dreams fill her with need…

Night after night, Rachel fantasizes about her sexy, playboy neighbor. But in her small town, no one changes, least of all the bad boy next door. But when Luke rescues her not once but twice from disastrous dates, she dares to believe her knight in black leather armor may be the right man for her after all.

Until she learns the truth...

Life on Earth has never been easy for Luke. Stranded as a little boy, he struggled to craft an existence for himself, but he never forgot the first human he met--and he never stopped wanting to see her again. Returning to Hanton, Luke longs for Rachel. Yet, nothing goes as he plans, and Rachel barely notices him. Convincing her he isn't like all the jerks she's dated means telling her the truth, but can she handle it?

Can she overcome her fears, or will she deny her alien adoration and leave him stranded once more?

Excerpt:
     “Need a lift?”
The voice was deep and masculine, one she didn’t hear very often, but would recognize anywhere. Luke. Wonderful! He wouldn’t talk to me before, but now that I’m topless and sopping wet, he notices me.
She circled slowly to stare at the leather-clad figure sitting atop his motorcycle. The visor of his helmet covered most of his face, leaving only his luscious lips and deep, jutting chin, covered in light stubble, exposed. What would they feel like against her lips? Between her legs? Her body tingled.
“Earth to Rachel. Do you need a lift, or should I leave you here in the pouring rain?”
Oh God, he knows my name. Since they’d never actually talked—she’d only heard him greeting his dates—her name on his lips came as a surprise. “Um, yes, I’d appreciate a ride.” On his Harley, and if she was lucky, in his bed. Anywhere. Her romance-first rule didn’t apply to him. He’d already seduced her plenty in her dreams.
Remaining on his bike, he yanked a helmet from his saddlebag and held it out to her. “What happened to your pretty blouse?”
Pretty blouse? He’d seen her earlier? “I….” Fluttering rolled through her stomach. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
She grabbed the helmet from him, fit it over her soaked hair, and buckled the chinstrap. Straddling the seat behind him, she fumbled with her hands, wondering where to place them, no bar behind her to hold on to. Oh, what it would be like to wrap her arms around him, lean against his wide back covered in leather. But what if he didn’t want her to touch him?
Luke pushed off from the curb. “I suggest you hold onto me or you’re going to fall off.”
The bike lurched forward with a roar. She clasped her hands around his waist, her fingers coming together temptingly close to his manhood, cheek pressed to his cowskin jacket. His deep chuckle reverberated across her skin.
“I told you to hang on.”
And she could lean on him forever. Being so close to him with pure raw power between her legs moved her better than any fantasy she had ever created. But what is going to happen when he takes me home? Or will he invite me to his house instead?
She pressed her lips together. Sure, she wanted to know what lay under his tight pants, but she refused to be another conquest. I can’t handle it.
He drove into her driveway too soon, leaning the bike over enough for her to slip off. She removed the helmet and handed it back to him. “Thank you. I appreciate the ride.”
Tucking the helmet away, he nodded. “You want to come over for coffee?”
That and more. Though she refused to go anywhere in her state of disarray. “Um, no, I’m kind of wet.”
     “Another time, then?”
She nodded. Shit, why did I say no? They could strip down together and have all kinds of fun. But he
drove away before she had a chance to retract her words.

A ruined opportunity. Would she ever get another?
A sudden flash of lightning sent her running up her steps. Reaching behind the outside light, she grabbed her house key and unlocked the door. In the foyer, she plucked her loose changed from her pocket and placed it on the table beside her purse. She stripped down to nothing then rushed up to her bedroom. Without thinking, she opened the curtains and glanced next door, hoping for another glimpse of her rescuer.
He stood on his porch. Grinning at her, he waved.
She fell to the floor, flat on her ass. Not only had she been topless behind him on the bike, but she’d just exposed herself to him. Everything. With her tall window, he must have seen her from her head all the way down to her knees where the sill cut her off.
Did he expect me to be there? Was he waiting to see what else I’d show off? Molten heat coursed through her veins. Her heart pounded. There was no way she could sleep tonight, not without self-fulfillment while imagining being ravaged by her sexy and mysterious neighbor.
Crawling onto the bed, she ducked underneath her covers, trailing her fingers down to her heat. With so much more inspiration, this promised to be her best fantasy yet.

Why I Write Erotica

When I announced to my friends that I had an erotica novel releasing some of them gave me a response that ruffled my feathers a bit. Okay, more than a bit, if I'm being honest. Which I am.

One said, "Oh well, I guess you have to make a living." And they haven't talked much to me since.

Really? Really?! The reason I chose to write erotica isn't because of the success of the latest erotica book that propelled the author into stardom. I did not leap into this with dreams of being the next 'Grey' so to speak. Ever since I hit my teen years my writing has been spicy, to put it mildly. For the books I wrote under my other name, I was forced to tone it down to keep my editor happy. Erotica came naturally to me, so naturally that I have a file of deleted scenes from many of my earlier books that never even made it to my editor.

Sex is one of the basic instincts, one we all have. Couple that with the basic need for love and companionship and you have a powerful mixture for a novel. That has always appealed to me. When I was given the chance to write freely and naturally, I jumped at it. And I couldn't be more happy that I did. It feels as though the chains have been removed. And it doesn't hurt the sex life either. ;)

How about you? If you're an author of erotica, why do you write it? If you're a reader of it, what draws you to it?

Free At Last on Amazon

It took a monumental effort to move the mountain that is Amazon, but I finally got them to list Werewolf Wedding: Maid of Honor (the 5k excerpt of the full novella, Werewolf Wedding) for FREE! You can now download it from Amazon and get a healthy taste of what the full novella is like. I hope you'll give it a try and maybe shout out about it to your friends.

If you love werewolf stories, paranormal, and of course erotica, then this tale may appeal to you. It's scorching on the steam-meter with explicit m/f sex, but with a plot to carry it along.

Here is a ready made tweet if you'd like to help me spread the word:

Review: Larkspur by Anny Cook

I almost didn't review this one because it wasn't quite for me. But, it had some good points so my review is based on those, not on what wasn't for me. There are several books out there by Ellora's Cave (publisher) with this cover because they are part of their Naughty Nooners series. I kind of hate that because it can be hard to tell at first glance what you're getting. So, if you see this cover, be sure to check the title to make sure which one you are getting. At the time of this read and review, Larkspur was free.

Keep in mind while reading this that it is a short story, pretty much meant to be read in one sitting. Hence the series title, Naughty Nooners.

This story is like a porno in a lot of ways, short on the plot and details, and straight to the sex. There is a plot behind this story, it just doesn't go much into it. No time in a Naughty Nooners I guess. If you're looking for stimulation in the sexual sense and not the literary sense, then this might be for you. But be forewarned, the opening scene will disturb some (as it did me) because it deals with sex with a dragon, while one is human and the other is dragon. Mystical beasts are still beasts after all, which makes that a bestiality scene, penetration or no.

However, that first scene allows the dragon to transform into a human and the remainder of the sex scenes are all human/human. So, if that kind of thing doesn't bother you, or if you just want to skip the first scene, and are looking for some hot, quick reading, this might appeal to you. Did it do its job and entice me to read more by this author? No. But, perhaps it will for you.

Review of Waterfall: Dragon's Fate

Despite conflicting reviews, I decided to give Waterfall by Lacy Danes a shot. And I'm glad I did. Overall, I enjoyed the read. Here is my review:

An original concept set in the rich atmosphere of Victorian era England, based on hot men with dragon's blood in their veins, how could I resist? I loved the whole idea behind the premise. The writing is compelling, the characters are interesting, and the sex is smoking hot.

That said, it had a few issues that kept it at only three and a half flames for me. The writing was choppy and confusing in the beginning, forcing me to re-read sentences. I would have liked to have seen either less characters, or the characters that are in it to be developed deeper. There are a few too many that have very little to do with the plot, though I imagine this novella may be a setup for a future full length novel set in the same world. That said, I liked it enough that I would read another novel set in this world. I would recommend it for readers who enjoy fantasy and erotica.

Under absolutely no control of the author, and therefore not her fault at all (poor thing), the novel was formatted horribly and could have used tighter editing. Shame on the publisher. Good formatting isn't hard these days. The flames earned are in no way effected by the formatting issue.

Review of Hot Moon Rising

This book was a free read that I downloaded from B&N to get a feel for what Desiree Holt's writing style was like. I'm the type of reader that like's an excerpt or taste of an author's writing before I'll commit.

First and foremost you need to know going into this read that it isn't a novel, or even a novella. Keeping that in mind, I've rated it based on what it was, a short story. In this short story we're introduced to two interesting characters that I'd love to know more about, which means the story did it's job. There is a bit of chemistry, and admittedly a bit too much background story, i.e. telling for such a short piece of work (which is part of the reason it didn't earn four stars from me). But the hot sex scene more than makes up for it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a good feel for how Ms. Holt writes.

Aside from the telling, I didn't like how Charlie sort of stalks Liane, and there is a short bit about what she does when she's a wolf to him that made me a bit queasy. There isn't bestiality in this, but there is a hint of him being attracted to her as a wolf and her licking him, that I didn't particularly like. These few hangups make me hesitant to try the author's other works, but the sex was hot enough that I may give one of her books a shot to see if the other issues don't follow into her novel-length works.

About Hot Moon Rising:

In Line of Sight, Charlie Aquino had trouble believing his partner, Jesse Farrell, fell in love with a shapeshifter. Now he's drawn to one himself, Liane Cosa, a woman who makes his blood boil, his body hard, and erotic images scream in his brain. One hot night, beneath a full moon, they finally come together, indulging themselves in an orgy of unbridled lust where anything goes. But what will happen when the moon finally sets and daylight creeps up on them?

On B&N and Amazon it is currently free.

Review of Celestial Seduction

If you haven't discovered the One Night Stand series yet through Decadent Publishing, quick click on this link, you'll thank me in the morning. The first One Night Stand book that I read was Celestial Seduction by Jessica E. Subject and it totally hooked me on the multi-author series. I had no idea sci-fi could be so hot before I read this.

The characters at both sweet and steamy at the same time, making you ache for them in more ways than one.  Carrie is emotionally damaged after her divorce because she couldn't give her husband children and Frey had been betrayed by his emotionless intended and seeks a connection his own kind can't give him. Their way to each other isn't as easy as a one night stand, but the payoff is well worth the winding path that brings them together. The author made me a fan with this book!

About Celestial Seduction:

At the end of his obligated commitment to the Space Service, Frey Berger decides to stay on Earth to further experience human emotions rather than return to Ginnun where his intended has already mated with another. Looking for real love and someone to accept him for what he is, Frey enlists in Madame Evangeline’s popular dating service. Although he does not understand the concept of a one-night stand, he hopes to find his perfect mate.

Carrie Cooper’s husband divorced her for someone who could provide him with children, leaving her with little self-confidence and no desire to let a man hurt her again. Her best friend convinces her to join a dating service, claiming Carrie needs to get laid, while not winding up with a broken heart since her date requires no commitment after the night is over.

Although several misunderstandings nearly derail them before the date has even begun, Carrie and Frey end up becoming closer than they ever believed possible. Still, Frey will need to convince Carrie that her perfect mate isn’t human at all, and that one night can lead to a forever love.

This novel contains explicit sex.

My Review of Bad to the Bone

While on the hunt for a good read I came across Vivi Anna's Bad to the Bone. I had never heard of the author but since this novella was free on B&N and the description was good enough to capture my interest, I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did!

From the first page the author digs her fingernails into you with an intriguing story, as Olivia's ambulance crashes and she is kidnapped. Things heat up from there when Olivia feels a deep connection to her kidnapper and starts to realize he isn't quite~normal. The connection between them heats up and the story along with it. I give it a strong three and a half flames and would definitely recommend it. It passed the test: I'm interested enough to buy the next book.

Here is more about the book:

After a terrible accident in the ambulance, EMT Olivia Jordan didn't expect to wake up chained to a bed. The tall dark sexy man holding her prisoner is not what she expected either. But Garrick Blackthorn's not your every day kidnapper, no, there's something extraordinary about him. Something that attracts Olivia. Something dark and secret.

This novel contains explicit sex and some violence.
